We’re so pleased to welcome Osama Dorias to the Minority Media team! We asked Osama to introduce himself, and thought we’d share with you all the wonderful projects that he works on. He’s the co-founder and current organizer for the Montreal Independent Games Festival (happening TOMORROW NIGHT, Sept 17, 2016!!!).
Osama Dorias is not only our new Senior Game Designer at Minority Media, but is the Coordinator for the Video Game Program at Dawson College! He’s worked as a generalist Game Designer, Narrative Game Designer, and Lead Game Designer at companies like Gameloft, GEE, and Ubisoft!
As Coordinator of the Video Game Programs, he pitched and headed an Independent Video Game Design Program, a 2 year 900 hour full time part-time tuition free AEC with a focus on helping students gain the skills necessary to either start their own independent game project/companies or apply to work at one of the many current independent game companies in Montreal. https://www.dawsoncollege.qc.ca/aec/independent-video-game-design/
He tries to stay active in the independent video game scene by often hosting game jams, socials, workshops, and other events with the intention of growing the game making community.
